BACKGROUND AND SCHOOL APPROACH

Dogwood CDL Training is an advanced commercial driver training program designed to refine, formalize, and certify the skills of individuals pursuing a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver License. This program does not provide instruction on how to initially learn to drive a CMV. Students enrolling in this program are expected to already possess a foundational understanding of basic tractor-trailer operation, including steering, acceleration, braking, and general vehicle handling. The program focuses on regulatory compliance, safety procedures, advanced driving techniques, skills examination preparation, and proficiency validation in accordance with FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) standards.

Individuals who do not yet have basic tractor-trailer driving familiarity may not be suited for this program and are encouraged to obtain introductory driving experience prior to enrollment.
